Shadowrocket is a paid proxy client for iOS, usually downloaded from the U.S. App Store. Prepare a U.S. Apple ID and sign in only to the App Store, not iCloud. After installing Shadowrocket, you may also install Streisand as a backup.
To import nodes, the recommended method is a V2Ray subscription link. If the subscription is encrypted, Shadowrocket cannot parse it directly. Copy the V2Ray subscription link from the user center, open Shadowrocket, tap โ+โ, choose Subscribe, paste the URL, and enter your website login password. If your app version has no password field, go to the user center, temporarily disable subscription encryption for 30 seconds, then return to Shadowrocket and save. Run a connectivity test, select a node, and turn on the first switch. Encryption will resume after 30 seconds. Before updating nodes later, temporarily disable encryption for 30 seconds and tap refresh.
As an alternative, import node URLs. Copy all node URLs from the user center; Shadowrocket should prompt you to import them. For older versions, try the legacy low-security node URLs. Do not share node URLs through WeChat or QQ. If needed, save them as a txt file and email them to yourself. In Config, select default.conf and set the latency test method to CONNECT.
To update nodes: if many nodes fail or you upgrade to VIP, re-import. For V2Ray subscriptions, temporarily disable encryption for 30 seconds, then refresh. If the VPN is on, make sure a working node is selected; if none work, turn off the VPN before updating. For node URLs, re-import them and do not delete old nodes first.
Routing: on the home page, change Global Routing to Config and select default.conf. If you choose Proxy, all traffic will go through the node.
To start: set the latency test method to CONNECT, run a connectivity test, choose a low-latency node, and turn on the first switch. If prompted to add a VPN configuration, tap Allow and verify with your passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID.
Apple TV: make sure the iPhone and Apple TV are on the same Wi-Fi and open Shadowrocket on both. If Apple TV is not found, check Local Network permission for Shadowrocket in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security, keep Shadowrocket in the foreground on Apple TV, and check for AP isolation or band isolation on the router.
Security note: never publicly share accounts, passwords, cookies, subscription links, or node URLs. If any sensitive credentials were exposed, delete them and rotate passwords immediately.
